The Granite State Shooting Armory!

Hi folks,

I’ve decided to start a thread on the construction and decisions that went into building the new Granite State Shooting Armory.  We all have different ‘spaces’ in which we store and clean our firearms.  If you’re a reloader, the space gets even more complex.  In this project I set out to turn a corner of my dingy basement into a well lit, comfortable, and organized armory fit for storing, securing, building, cleaning, and reloading.  I had to get all the various bits and bobs out from all over the house (yes, my wife put up with spent brass in the kitchen (where else would you put your tumbler), cleaning solvents in the dining room, and spare parts in the living room – it was time to change!).

I hope by posting the build and evolution of my space, you will pick up some ideas for your own space.  No two people work the same.  No two people have the same spaces available.  Your mileage may vary, but I’ll attempt to give you the good, the bad, and the ugly – what I would do again and what I would avoid given a second chance.

Stay safe, shoot straight.
